About Us

Our staff offer kind, patient and honest care for those who live at Fairway – we aim to create an atmosphere that is as close to a relaxed homely environment as possible. We welcome family and friends as visitors, and we aim to keep our residents as independent as they can be for as long as is safely possible.

 

We individualize our care for each resident - something that isn't always possible when you have a

 

larger number of residents. We pride ourselves on doing that little

 

bit extra that makes life more pleasant.

The main house has 4 single rooms with en-suite bathrooms and

 

one double room (en-suite) suitable for a couple or to be shared by

 

friends.

The main house has a dining room, lounge, and a large outside verandah with views onto the golf course. Most of the rooms have their own private verandahs. The large garden is flat and safe to be walked by our residents and there is direct access to the golf course walking paths from 4:30pm for evening strolls or just sit and enjoy the scenery, and abundant bird life.

We provide 3 meals a day and tea and coffee mid-morning, mid-afternoon and again before bedtime. Laundry is done inhouse. Management of prescriptions and chronic medication is done in collaboration with our Registered nurse.

We are 5 minutes from a pathology laboratory in case of any blood tests and GP’s in both Kloof and Hillcrest are very easily accessible. We are about 10 minutes from Hillcrest Hospital and 20 minutes from Westville Hospital. 

We enjoy a cigarette smoke free environment here and all carers are fully vaccinated for COVID 19.
